Soave, a village of ancient historical origins, is one of the most suggestive attractions in the area and the third tourist center in the Verona area (after Verona and Lake Garda). It is dominated by the splendid 10th century Castle, which stands on the remains of an ancient Roman fort: with its gates, crenellated walls interspersed with 24 towers, drawbridges and weapon collections, the Soave castle (symbol of the city) is a splendid example of medieval military construction from the Scaliger era.
The highest point of the central tower offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and expanses of vineyards.
Soave is thus an excellent starting point for suggestive walking and mountain biking trails in the verdant and wonderful hills, rich in vineyards, olive groves and cherry trees.
There are many restaurants and cellars where you can taste and buy typical local products (wine, oil, cherries, hams and cheeses). Finally Soave enjoys the orange flag of the Italian Touring Club.
